One of them dominated rock music as the biggest touring act of the early 1970s. Another penned and performed such classic tunes as “After Midnight” and “Cocaine.” Still another launched well over a dozen songs into the national Top 40 charts.

Several more became integral parts of the bands of such rock 'n' roll and rock-music heavyweights as Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, Peter Frampton, Gary Lewis, Taj Mahal, and Delaney & Bonnie, to mention only a very few.

From the beginning, these pioneers set about creating their versions of a new music called rock 'n' roll in their Oklahoma hometown of Tulsa. These guys were the first generation of what became known as the Tulsa Sound and they’ve seen and done just about everything that pop music has to offer. And now, for the first time, they've committed their stories to a full-length documentary film – The Tulsa Sound.
